MY COUSIN THE MAPLE
Fossil field maple. A wood that is, along the collateral line, the oak's cousin. They are very close, especially in deep old age — as fossils, that is. We respected the lines and colours, all the beauty their mother gave this hard wood. Which is to say it has only been touched in passing.
